while all countries have been adopting various measures to combat the spread of COVID-19, the pandemic’s effects have inevitably intensified. The virus’s ongoing spread has become one of the biggest threats to global economy and financial markets.

Turkey also suspended flights to and from abroad and closed the country’s borders, and many public and private places including schools, universities, kindergartens, day-care centers, restaurants, cinemas and theaters are also closed.

According to the Turkish Cassation Court’s ( Supreme Court of Appeal in Ankara ) precedent, parties’ contractual obligations arising from lease contracts may be suspended until the circumstances causing the impossibility are eliminated.
