WHY A FIFA FOOTBALL LAW ANNUAL REVIEW?
One of the fundamental pillars of FIFA 2.0 is the transparency of the organisation, its governance and the decision-making process.
In recent years, the development of regulations and legal decisions in various areas of FIFA’s work has become very relevant for professionals, national associations, leagues, clubs and players’ unions.
With this undeniable reality in mind, FIFA has set itself the objective of ensuring that football’s legal stakeholders are kept abreast of the most relevant aspects of the field.
In February 2019, FIFA opened its doors to present the very-first FIFA Football Law Annual Review (2018 edition). The idea was to introduce, on an annual basis, the regulatory work, the case law containing the key decisions of FIFA’s decision-making and independent bodies, and the main CAS proceedings prompted by FIFA’s decisions, and this endeavour must continue.
2019 has been another year of important regulatory changes for FIFA and relevant decisions by the independent bodies.
It is time to share this information and present it to everyone!
